Hotel is located at the southeast corner of the central square of Blarney (N51 55.935 W8 34.031) just across the street from the drive leading to the entrance gate of Blarney Castle. The Blarney Woolen Mill shops are less than 5 minutes walk as well. Our room was spacious and overlooked the square. Bed was comfortable and afforded a fine night's sleep. Breakfast was a highlight: a choice of cereal, yoghurt 'sunday', or porridge followed by a choice of omelet, smoked salmon/eggs, smoked haddock & spinach/eggs, full Irish breakfast as well as other selections. All wonderfully prepared and served from 8:30 am til 11:30 am allowing one to sleep in! We stayed here for 4 nights and ate dinner here each night. We enjoyed the pepper steak, meatballs w/tagliatle, onion soup, smoked salmon sandwiches, quiche Lorraine, cod, lemon sole, chicken quesadilla: again, all prepared excellently! And, of course, Guiness! We ate in the pub section which is popular with the locals. The staff was friendly and took special care of us. There was on site parking in the back of the hotel for guests. WiFi connection was available in our room and the large flat screen TV allowed us to connect our computer via HDMI. The hotel appears to have been in business a long time and has been kept in tip-top condition: a painter was working outside all 4 days we were there.
