“Pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We stopped in here for a pint and a pub dinner. It fit the bill. With a warm friendly atmosphere and located right in the center of Blarney (walking distance from the castle), it was a good place to grab that pint on a cool October evening. Just as an FYI the upstairs restaurant is closed (at least at this time of year) and only open for private parties.

We first got a couple of pints and then moved to bar to order our food. Another friendly American couple struck up a conversation with us and we enjoyed a lovely evening. I had the fish and chips which were good and my husband the plaice. A lot of fried food on the menu, We liked that they had Smithwicks on tap,as we had visited the brewery in Kilkenny and really liked it.

“Good pub food - early bird before 7”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

We didn't make it in time for the early bird, but we had a nice meal. My lamb was tasty and filling. I would recommend Muskerry if you're looking for a pub meal while in Blarney

“Cosy and charming.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

I've had a warming glass of Bailey's here in the winter and a cold beer at the end of summer and can recommend the Arms for a good place to pull up a chair and have a tipple. Try their meals also for a generous portion of good local fare.

“Warm Irish hospitality and great prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Decided to visit this rather old world looking establishment in the center of Blarney village on a wet, cold and windy Irish evening. Took shelter by the welcoming turf fire and tried to comprehend the lively conversations by the bar but unfortunately we couldn't keep up- Blarney folk certainly talk pretty darn fast! Was directed upstairs to the Tavern restaurant by a friendly barman. Was surprised by the reasonable prices (was afraid a tourist spot would be pricey). There was a wide menu to choose from and nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant manager Marybeth who made sure our two year old was well catered for. My wife enjoyed the house lasagne while I went for the shepherds pie washed down with a pint of the good old black stuff, complete with a shamrock design on top. Would especially recommend the Muskerry Arms Restaurant to families with young kids as there's a real family friendly atmosphere.
