“Nice hotel, friendly welcome”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

My husband and I stayed here one night whilst on our honeymoon, only really as a stopover on the way to Galway, so we didn't make use of the spa or gym facilities. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, offering directions into Ennis town and arranging for some of our clothes to be washed overnight.

Our room was ok, but like I said we were only there as a stopover. The communal rooms looked quite nice.

I stayed one night as part of touring coach part. Therefore I don't know how much it was to stay. I'm hoping not too much !. Mine room was on the ground floor, thought it was numbered 308 I think. Other tour members mentioned no hot water for a shower in the morning. Mine was ok, but that was the previous evening, through it was a poor shower with more water pouring down vertically than actually reaching me ! The basin had an annoying dripping tap, though careful towel placement stopped that. On arrival it was around 1900 and not a hot day, but warmish. The room was too hot so I went to open the window, and found it part open but the radiator was FULL ON !. Its May, ie summer not mid winter !. The window overlooked the rear empty carpark, so no noise problem here. This was a twin room, I would prefer a double but being on my own it didn't really matter. Not one of the best beds, it could do with a new mattress as it was very soft with squeaky springs. The TV was small with very basic remote, but good enough for the few hours I was there. It was fairly quiet so not a bad sleep. The walk to reception is some way, with steps at the end, not much help if you have lots of bags.

I would not recommend this hotel for ANYONE unless you like lumpy beds, broken heaters that would not turn off, mandatory service fees and very slow service. Room was clean but needed updating. The beds were very uncomfortable. The radiators were stuck in the ON position and were not fixed during our 2 day stay. It was unbelievably hot. The service was very slow when requesting something. It was much more expensive than other hotels in the area which would be better. It is also out of the immediate town area of Ennis.

Stayed at the hotel for a friends wedding and had a superb stay. Everything was was without an issue. The staff were fantastic and the duty manager Tania was always there to help and make sure we were well looked after. The bar staff were friendly and always to hand. The food was fantastic. Will definitely stay again should I be staying in the area. Thanks very much

I had the pleasure of staying here during Easter with my mother. The hotel is situated close to the Burren and Cliffs of Mohair and both are recommended.
We booked a groupon voucher and this is a real gem.
Hotel was well kept - The leisure facilities are excellent and the room was clean tidy and well stocked
I would have no reservation in recommending this hotel

Room Tip: Rooms are very spread out - Ask for one close to reception
