Closest launch point to sacred falls hike.
Staff just rent kayaks, do a quick spiel about the way to get to Sacred Falls.
Pretty much impossible to get lost in my opinion.
If you've never kayaked before, than choose a tour. These are NOT operators. This is a rental service only (which we wanted).
Contrary to belief, they do not sell out (March 2013 at 10am). The had plenty left over.
Yes, you could rent from somewhere in Kapaa, or from the Marina at the bottom of the river, but theres not much to see.
The hike takes 30-40min each way depending on your fitness level.
Wore Flip flops was fine. Waded through 3 rivers each way, up to knees. Not fast moving water.
We did paddle down to the Marina (bottom of river by ocean) however this is a waste of time. Not much to see there.
