...well at least is as far as this marvellous B&B is concerned: "They never come back."

I more or less accidentially found Bla Bheinn while planning my very first trip to Scotland in spring 2006. I also needed accomodation on Skye, planning a day trip to the Misty Isle. Browsing several different directories I ended up contacting several B&Bs by mail

The immediate, friendly and (most of all) very personal reply by Steve and Trish triggered the impulse of my booking and I did not regret that a single second ever after.

Both the ongoing mail exchange before the visit (e.g. about things to do and see while being on Skye) as well as the friendly, welcoming atmosphere when I finally arrived at the Bla Bheinn were overwhelmingly personal and beyond description.

Sitting in front of the fireplace in the evening, "fighting" with Hamish (the dog) over his favorite toy, tasting some local Whisky after dinner or being surprised by certain CDs during breakfast was so much more than being there as a guest/visitor and so much closer to being a friend visiting than I ever expected.

And since the first time at the Bla Bheinn was so comforting I simply had to prove the saying wrong on my second trip to Skye later last year:. All I can say is "They do come back." ;o)

We have just returned from our 1st trip to Skye, we stayed with Steve, Trish and daughter ( I do know her name but have not asked permission to enter it but she knows we know) and the family pets, Hamish, Angus and Rabbit (sorry I cannot remember his name).

We had a very warm welcome, great breakfasts, too big for me, the kids loved the pancakes.

Nice relaxing Jacuzzi at night, there is a sauna that guests can share, we were all too tired to try it as there was so much to see in Skye

BOOK EARLY as they are very busy in the summer months
The guest book in our room said it all,
ENJOYABLE
GREAT PLACE
NICE VIEWS
WONDERFUL FAMILY
FAB BREAKFASTS
etc, etc

There are many nice touches to this Bed and Breakfast, to name a few, brill views, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, fridge in your room (with complimentary local ales). LUXURIOUS
BATHROBES but most importantly a wonderful family

“A home away from home”

We stayed at Bla Bheinn for four nights at the end of May and it was perfect. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable, clean and extremely well equipt. Our hosts were very welcoming and we really felt at home. The property is located in a beautiful part of Skye and has amazing views in every direction you look. I can not recommend this B&B more highly. We are regular travellers and this was the best B&B we have ever stayed in.

We have just found the best B&B in Scotland and to put our money where our mouth is - we've booked again for Aug 07.

I was surprised, that this wonderful B & B was not in the database - so I am happy to recommend Steve & Trishs wonderful B & B. Bla Bheinn Bed & Breakfast ist new (they opened in April 2006) and the two guest rooms were in the first floor of the house. The rooms a very large, wonderful decorated (nice modern colours, good quality beds, a sofa to die for). A minifridge is in every room, an infrared sauna for the guests at the same floor as the rooms.
TV has Sky-TV (it was very rainy - so we tried to check out all 900 programmes).

We decided to have dinner at the B & B and we were not disappointed - we got wonderful meals - we could make a choice in the morning and the dinners were delicious!

Of course - breakfast was wonderful too.

Another big plus was the wireless internet access - very happy about that!

Really - this B & B is a wonderful place!
