..on a recent camping trip to the hebrides, horizontal rain meant we made for the nearest bolthole..
..the sconser lodge hotel was an excellent find
very welcoming, excellent lochside location, great breakfast, plenty of hot water, charming traditional decor..
..owners couldn't do enough for us, wholly recommended

Amazing views, great location for seeing the sights and really easy to find, thats all the practical stuff. Clean and tidy.

The hotel is sooooo charming!
The welcome was perfect, and there was always someone to help with a query.

This is a family run hotel, with a really cosy, friendly feel, but with service standards befitting a 5 star.

And the food!

Wow!

Great great meals, easily 5 star, and quality you would expect to be paying £££ for. Best scallops ever, steak like it used to be and chocolate bombe so good, we demanded the recipe!

The owners tell us they only took over this year.

Book now, before its in the Sunday Times!

A stunning place to stay. Watching the recent meteor shower from our window, over the loch at some unearthly o'clock was a little bit special. Can honestly say that I have never relaxed more completely in any hotel and the food is stunning! There now, that was simple; just go there and enjoy it

“Fabulous location, great food and wonderful owners and staff”

What a find! The loveliest little hotel with views to happily die for. Great food and the nicest owners and staff. We really enjoyed our short stay but will definitely be back. If it's available ask for the four poster bed room with the fanastic views.

I have just returned from a few days expolering the Northwest of Scotland including Skye equipped with dog and tent. As I arrived at Skye the weather turned with winds gusting to 70 mph so whilst the dog was happy sleeping in the car I needed a hotel .

Most places had no vacancies due to the weather, however by chance I foud the Sconser Lodge and was greeted with a very warm welcome the new owners having only taken over the Hotel a few days before. I found stunning views looking over the Isle of Raasay, the inside of the hotel was traditional and very clean, both the standard of cooking and service was excellent. The evenings spent in the hospitable company of the owners and other guests, turning what could have been a frustrating time into a very enjoyable one.
