“Comfortable, friendly and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Stayed here for a few nights while exploring Lewis. The outside looks in need of a little TLC, but the staff are very friendly and the rooms are comfortable (basic, but with everything you need) and importantly nice and clean. Great shower!
Food was good home cooking - nothing fancy, but exactly what you need after a day out on the hills. Breakfast was great local produce.

This is a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful location. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is very nice too. The breakfast was very nice indeed, especially the kippers from the local smokehouse.

The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed for the price, beds are soft and comfortable.

If you have the opportunity to stay here I highly recommend it

If you want an uncluttered, avuncular Yorkshire welcome on The Isle of Lewis, head for the Loch Erisort Inn. The place is spotless, the beer is outstanding and the food is of very high quality and is served in enormous quantity.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Bernie and Geraldine are a lovely couple - very warm and welcoming and Bernie is full of stories - a great host. Zak the dog is a star in his own right. Our room was spotless and well appointed - there was also a bath as well as a shower in the really clean bathroom. Our view was out over the loch. Without doubt it was the biggest breakfast we had anywhere during our trip of the Hebrides - my husband who has a great appetite couldn't clear his plate!! After seeing one of the breakasts I knew a full scottish would be too much for me so I chose the porridge one morning and it was delicious, and had a bacon & mushroom sandwich one day and scrambled egg another and was still full at tea time. We ate in the bar 2 nights and food was very tasty - selection was what I would call good pub grub - fish and chips, steak pie, roast and yorkshire pudding etc but there were fish specials available as well. Plus side to the Inn is that it is open on a Sunday as many places are closed then. Inn is ideally situated for travelling round Lewis and Harris as it is in the middle. Highly recommended - would definitely go back

Booked after reading other reviews on Tripadvisor. Not disappointed. Only sorry we stayed the one night. Excellent rooms, spotless with comfy beds. Bernie and Geraldine couldn't do enough for you. Had a rather boozy night in the bar with good company and great meal ( I recommend the cheese board). Breakfast was fantastic and also enormous, well cooked and as much as you could eat. Bernie is real character and full of stories. A great find and would recommend to anyone.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The rooms are fabulous: clean, beautifully furnished with the best shower I have ever experienced; the owners are warm, friendly, funny and welcoming; the dog is gorgeous. ....... The food is spot on... well cooked, locally sourced - the breakfast sublime. I really enjoyed my stay and the location is ideal for both Lewis and Harris. The bar is frequented by locals from all over the islands who are very friendly and genuine. I saw a sea eagle outside my room one morning - the owner lent me his field glasses for the duration of my stay to take out with me. Serves food all day every day, even on a Sunday. I recommend you ask for advice for what to see and do even if you have planned your own itinery.. the advice was spot on.. thank you for a wonderful stay.
