“wow!!!!”

right on the edge of the loch, we stopped for a wee cup of tea & a scone. Scone was huge, scenery breathtaking - although helped by the fine weather

“Fantastic !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

And the great reviews just keep on coming ! How easy is it to keep customers happy ~ good food, plentiful portions, a bit of banter from the staff, excellent service, and interesting things to look at and read. Including of course "Oor Wullie" in the toilets ! My only criticism would be the cappuccinos which we scored 5 out of 10, but then we do come from NZ, which has the greatest coffee in the world ! ;-p

“Nothing wee about the portions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Fantastic place. Excellent quality with big servings. The afternoon tea deal was particularly good value. Very friendly staff, smiling away in spite of how busy it was. Very handy if you're staying at the MacDonald Forest Hills Resort. I suspect the breakfast is better value too, though we didn't have an opportunity to try it. Had the added bonus of some freshly laid eggs on the way out too. Mum went this weekend and also recommends it, and she's a bit of a coffee & cake connoseiur! Just as well it's not closer to Glasgow or my waistline would suffer!

“Quirky”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

We rented a cottage in Kinlochard and enjoyed morning coffee and scones at the Wee Blether. The welcome was warm and the scones were really yummy. There are lots if quirky touches but it is not twee. I loved the 'Ladies' which is completely decorated with The Broons stories with funny captioned pictures right around the walls. I am sure my companions thought I'd been taken ill because I spent so much time in there. Anyone who visits this area will know for sure that Ricky loves Shona. If that sounds cryptic - then visit and you will understand.

“A real find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

We found this place when looking for a coffee stop after a photography session at Loch Ard. We left happily after bacon rolls and tea.
We were so impressed with the food and service we came back later in the day for a very late lunch, again another plate of savoury niceness and great service! No room left for cake so we took some home with us - after a difficult choice in which to select.
This rates as the best tearoom I know in the UK, and we sample many during photo trips.
Already plotting how to go back before they close for winter.
Thanks to Shona and her team for keeping these photographers well fed and happy :-)
