“Efficient, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Good place to stay with family. Family gathered for Granny's birthday - 3 separate rooms. Ideal for 3.5 year-old with bed in parents' room, Fun Factory and colouring materials in restaurant. Breakfast good; service prompt in restaurant; enjoyed lunch we had, too. (We had a vegetarian in our party - no catering problems).

Excellent reception staff. Unfortunately, one room seemed to have a faulty thermostat. That was dealt with very well by reception.

Would definitely recommend this Premier Inn so long as you have transport if you wish to go into Ayr or Prestwick

I like staying in premier inns but one attached to a brewers fayre brings the hotel down as the food was not up to the standard of usual premier inns
The rooms were cold and only small convector heaters but overall the place could do with a makeover

As premier inns go, this is far from the best one I have stayed in. Sometimes use it for early/late flights from Prestwick, although not even particularly convenient as you either need a car or are an £8 taxi fare from airport/train station. I find some of the smaller local B&B's in Prestwick Town every bit as good value, and most also provide early breakfast facilities for early flights, unlike Premier Inn. Bed not particualrly comfortable and ask for a room facing out back as lots of noise from adjoining petrol station throughout night.

Room Tip: Not facing petrol station - very noisy

Family of four stayed for 4 nights as it was great grandmas 90th birthday and she lives in nearby Troon. We travelled with a car from Belfast/Cairnryan. Convenient for A77/M77. It is a bit out of the way so you will need a car. The room was clean, bright and functional for a family. The customer service at all stages was excellent. TV volume is limited - not sure what to do if you are hard of hearing. Only deducting one rating as we like pillows and it was chilly in the evening as the windows didnt seal 100%. Cannot recommend highly enough. Restaurant attached to hotel. Petrol station that stocks marks and spencer merchandise a few steps away. We will be asking for an upstairs room at the back next time as we could hear movement above. We were at the back and enjoyed watching the wild bunnies. We will be back!

Room Tip: Choose a room upstairs at the back. At the front of the hotel is a carpark and no view.

Stayed in a family room at this hotel with the Mrs and 2 young kids, room had a double and 2 single beds and was big enough for all of us. The room we had was on the ground floor and overlooked the car park but we didn't experience any noise problems, the rooms seem to be well insulated. The receptionist was very friendly and my Mrs left her phone in the room by accident and before we got home the hotel were ringing my mobile to let us know. The brewers fayre next door is excellent for kids, it has a good sized soft play which you can see from the restaurant area and the kids had hours of fun and we got a minutes peace to enjoy a nice meal and a couple of drinks.

Room Tip: Upper floor would be more private, ground floor overlooking car park.

One night stay where the room was VERY clean and all staff, at every stage, were helpfull, friendly and efficient. All members of staff engaged me in conversation and ensured that I was happy with everything at every sage of my stay.
