“A wee bit of Greece in Ayr!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Had a lovely two course lunch here today with my sister, reasonably priced and delicious. The tzatziki is the best we have tasted outside Greece! With a nice glass of house wine, it fairly helped make the Christmas shopping less of a chore! We have eaten here on quite a few occasions, so I was at a loss to understand some previous detrimental comments which had been made, especially concerning the waitress! On all the occasions we have been in, we have had pleasant and efficient service from Despina, and I understand she is the only one! Does someone have an axe to grind - I would suspect so! Please do not let such comments put you off visiting this wee "corner of Greece" you won't be disappointed.

“Fantastic night out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

I've recently moved to Barassie from Glasgow and was hankering for some great Greek food. Up until now I've been doing a 80 mile round trip but thanks to Larisa's that's no longer the case!!

The staff are wonderful, food incredible all at great value for money.

“Aegean Ayr”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Picture a rainy night in southwest Scotland (difficult, granted!), then cross the threshold of Larissa's taverna and you 're welcomed to a wee bit of Greece. No processed, pre-packaged and plastic food, but honest and well-made dolmades, souvlakia, taramasalata, kalamari. Unexpected as it is in Burns country it's a most welcome inclusion.
