On a week off, we dotted around Scotland.
Three different hotels, all booked at 24 hours notice.
This was the cheapest of the three... and by far the best!
Room was on the "compact" side but it was clean.
The big plus was the food... simply sensational!!!
We had planned to meet friends for a meal in Ayr, but as they were running late we settled for the pre-theatre in the Horizon.
That was the best decision we could have made.
Two coursed for £9.95... and it was top quality food... the kind of meal you would pay infinitely more for in a city centre diner! I had Haggis neeps and tatties stack with whisky sauce, followed by pan fried breast of duck! 10 out of 10 for both dishes. My wife had fish and chips and adored it (but struggled to finish it!!!)
That set us up nicely for breakfast... which again didn't disappoint. Full cooked breakfast and not a hint of grease.
Will def look at staying here again.
