We booked this b&b after searching on google for a b&b in Ayr. This was quite high on the search results and so I decided to have a look at their website.
The rooms looked great and it was in a decent location, so I decided to book.
When we got there we were welcomed by John, the owner who made us feel at home right away.
He showed us to the room and made sure we were settled in. He even asked what time we would like breakfast at.
I'm sure there are normally set times, but the fact that he arranged it around us was great service.
The room we had was huge. Seriously huge. There was a large double bed as well as a single bed in the room, and the bathroom was bigger than some hotels I've stayed in.
It was spotless, which kept the wife happy too.
After a good nights sleep we went for breakfast.
It consisted of cereal followed by a full fried breakfast, with as much tea coffee and fruit juice as you liked.
We left around 10.30am but John never mentioned a check out time to us. I get the impression we could have stayed for another few hours without any problems.
Overall then, I've stayed in lots of b&bs and hotels over the years. This is one of the best, and it's probably the best when it comes to value.
I would heartily recommend this place to anyone.
Just one word of caution though. The location is not in the heart of Ayr. If you find it difficult walking I would think about it before booking, although a taxi into town only takes a couple of minutes, and there is a bus stop right across the road.
