“Value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Excellent value. Room with disabled facility provided a large wetfloor shower. Staff very friendly & helpful,
Totally relaxing stay. No early checkout leaving plenty of time to enjoy an all you can eat breakfast
which is a bonus to look forward to.

Premier Inn had taken over from Holiday Inn. We found no difference in service. Staff were exceptional (hello Lauren or Laura). We ate a couple of times here, meals were adequate and inexpensive, rooms comfortable.
Only drawback - we booked and paid in full when we organised it through Expedia back in March.
Upon arrival they took our credit card details and when I checked out, found they had charged us for the room again. When this was pointed out, staff were very good, and they were going to follow up. As I had a plane to catch, I couldn't hang around so they were given contact details. I've been back in Australia 3 weeks and have not heard a thing, I emailed Premier Inn, no response.
We were also charged for breakfast and were told that under the Holiday Inn booking, this was included.

Typical of every Premier Inn basic, clean and good value. We were allocated a room equipped for disabled persons which was not really suitable for us. Single beds were too short for my 6' plus husband. Easy parking with security barrier. We ate at the on site restaurant and we were rather disappointed. Before we had even ordered we were informed we have no new potatoes, baked potatoes etc etc the list seemed endless. We settled on the curry only to be informed there was no naan bread or vegetable side dish available. Staff were pleasant and attentive. We would stay again but would request a double bed in a room not adapted for the disabled and eat elsewhere.

Booked this hotel after fancying a spur of the moment cheap weekend away with my husband and one year old son. On arrival staff were very friendly and hotel was spotlessly clean and modern. Room was also clean and there was a travel cot provided with mattress and sheet, although i had also brought my own sheets. Went down for dinner on first night, very modern restaurant. We were greeted by really friendly waiter who I may say is wasted in a Premier inn and should probably work in a Hilton. Anyway ordered dinner and well....to say it was disgusting was a bit of an understatement. Overpriced microwaved tasteless meals. What we ordered was very questionable 'chicken'. Breakfast however was much better with a lot of choice although £8.95 is a bit expensive. Overall very nice hotel and great night sleep. Would defo recommend just don't have a meal here.

Very friendly staff from reception at arrival to the bar/restaurant. Hotel is a former Holiday Inn Express and is very up to date compared to the Premier Inn Prestwick Airport (Monkton) hotel. Welcome on arrival was excellent and room was very clean and comfortable. Despite being very close to the A77 we had a peaceful nights sleep and the area around the hotel was quiet.

Hotel has a restaurant and bar which are ideal for the short stay traveller. Andrew in the bar was especially good. Less than 10mins walk is a Frankie & Bennys for anyone wanting another option. 15mins drive up the A77 is a fantastic Indian restaurant called Balbirs Route 77, near Symington. Highly recommended and worth the drive.

Overall for the bargain price of £29 per night this Premier Inn was excellent value and difficult to fault. Plenty of parking and easy to find. For easy access to Ayr and also for North Ayrshire and Glasgow this a great hotel. Highly recommended if passing through or for a short visit to Rabbie Burns country. Book it !!!

Friendliest hotel staff you could wish to meet. This is a modern hotel (even has a lift) with internal restaurant rather than adjoining pub like most Premier Inns. Food was excellent and great value. Only possible drawback for holidaymakers is the location in industrial area next to a big car dealership. Sea visible from upper rear rooms and only 5 minutes drive to Ayr and Prestwick beaches.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms at rear probably quietest and you can see the sea from windows.
