As a place to stay prior to heading off on holiday the hotel is a few minutes from Glasgow Airport by courtesy bus, clean, comfortable, modern. Parking on site is £3 per day extra but we only paid £42 for the room.

Our room was reasonably sized with comfortable double bed, additional sofabed, TV, team-making facilities and ensuite. The shower deserves a mention - very good quality walk-in style - better than many other hotels we've stayed in.

Meals are served in the reception/dining area until 9.00pm and there is a bar. We didn't eat in the hotel because it was near 9.00pm before we planned to dine, instead we went to the Ramada just across the road (see separate report).

The Travelodge is good value for money and convenient for the airport.

Got this for £45 direct, which was £10 less than the booking sites, but full breakfast at £8-odd each seemed to be a bit dearer than advertised. The room is basic, but that's not a problem to us. The toilet/shower was bright and clean. Breakfast was from 7am, which I think is too late, but service at 7am was pretty quick, so we can't complain there. A bonus is that the hotel charges only £3/night for car parking, so that can give you a more advantageous deal than booking separate parking. Also, the transfer to/from the airport is quick. I would stay again as long as the price is less than the others around the airport, but try to get there early as we got the last parking space at 9pm and others had to risk being towed away or fined.

Although Travelodge prides itself on being 'no frills' our experience was of something below that grade.
The security peep-hole on one of our twin rooms was missing and had been stuffed with tissue. However, the rooms themselves although completely characterless were spacious enough.
What was completely unsatisfactory was the so-called 'restaurant' the Lodge claims to run. We waited over an hour from when we ordered food (from the very basic, over-priced and not very inspiring menu) at 7pm until it arrived on our table. By this time, my son was asleep. On two occasions when we asked the waiter what was the delay/problem, he seemed uninterested and could give no response. The restaurant was not busy, but everyone seemed to be enduring these huge delays. A nearby family had to wait 30mins after asking for their baby's bottle to be warmed up (and even then one of the desk staff, not the waiting staff ,headed off to do this)! No one made any attempt to apologise for the appalling service.
We didn't dare attempt breakfast the next morning as we had a flight to catch....
If you are only looking for a bed close to the airport, then perhaps stay here. On no account should you attempt to eat on site!

This hotel is reasonable, but nothing more. Our room was clean and comfortable, with basic TV. The bathroom was clean and modern. We found it quiet, no real external noises, Breakfast was OK, nothing special, but service none too quick.
