“Wheelchair friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

As a wheelchair user I find it extremely difficult to find suitable hotel accommodation. Both when travelling alone or with a companion. Travelodge is excellent and with recent improvements is perfect for my needs. I will always use Travelodge from now on where I can.

Arrived to find hotel welcoming and so were the staff. On hearing we were staying for a concert at SSEC and planning to drive there, recommended that we get a taxi, organized a local taxi for us at a very reasonable rate, gave us lots of information about area and services. Had a lovely meal, not a great range of choice on the menu, but very well cooked and presented, and good portion size. Nice welcoming lounge/resturant/bar area. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, I lost a bracelet and it had been found and handed in. Have stayed in many travelodges over the years but this is the absolute best for clean rooms and staff helpfullness and professionalism.
The only down side and reason for the 3 rating on the sleep quality is that I have a bad back and my husband arthriticky neck and hips. We found the pillows and the matresses to be a bit too hard and a bit too firm for us. That is the only thing we were not 100% about. Apart from that Great Stay Great Staff.

I phoned the hotel to check the distance to the airport terminal. The receptionist Mark, couldn't have been more helpful, with service like that I will certainly be staying at this Travelodge more often.

Hesssitated before booking as my last stay at a travelodge was awful however this time I couldn't have been happier room clean bead comfy looked like new pillows on the beds walk in shower was great shame that it can make the bathroom floor a bit slippery but other than that no problems, was pleasantly surprised at the lack of noise you wouldn't think you were across the motorway from an airport.

Fiona and the staff are very efficient and friendly, you get just what you expect from a Travelodge, a comfy bed, ease of access local to your intended function/airport. Its not the Hilton, but neither are the prices. I made a late booking and still got a great price, not so with the Premier Inn. The breakfast wasn't brilliant, but maybe that was just me, overall very good value for money. Clean and friendly, the beds are great, very comfy. Enjoyable stay.

You have to pay for parking! The hotel is clean and fresh, but just the same as all travelodge's. I forgot to say that it is very quiet too! We were expecting quite a lot of aircraft noise as the hotel is very close to the airport, but there was very little.

Booked in for a 2 night stay with my mum who dosent get around as much as she used too. So booked a room for us with easy access to toilet etc. when we arrived we were warmly greeted by Mark and we checked in. Unfortunatly our room was a double not a twin. Mark & the duty manageress Carol went out there way that extra mile as they would say to give us 2 interconnecting rooms. In the morning Mark went out of way again to make sure mum was comfortable and was ok. Not many places these days go out of there way to assist. Well done guys thankyou so much and hope to visit again soon.
