“Good stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

It was a good idea to stay one night before flying off on holiday. Nice hotel and nice room although disappointed I did not have a bath - dreamt about having a soak cos we only have a shower at home. Girl at reception a bit over efficient - when we checked in - felt like she was going through the motions. Not a good start.

well this was our base for the tours we took, excellent service perhaps not the cheapest in the Airport but its further away than the rest and less liable to aircraft noise, never heard a thing on 5 stays here, great tidy clean rooms, excellent chocie for breakfast, we had dinner twice perfect, cant fault, surprised to hear other problems because they are onto it here with management very professional.Super Wifi once you get used to it, car park is chargeable but ok, its within short walk to terminal if you know the way, I suppose the shuttle is expensive but I did not use
Restaurant manager Robert really goes out oif his way to be helpful.l

Used as a stop over after an early morning landing.

Had myself, wife and 3 kids under 4...

Staff great, rooms great, beds super comfy, cost affective and very close to the airport!

One thing I'd say is missing is a complimentary shuttle bus. Add a couple of pounds per person per room per night and the extra guests this alone would generate would more than pay for itself!

Over all... AMAZING!

A nightmare to get to walking and a joke to get to if you use their shuttle,£2pp!!! Family of 4 £8 when a cab is £2.30???
Staff not interested, dirty plates left on landings and the lift is s l o w...
Breakfast was stone cold plates and lukewarm food
All in this place is rubbish and would recommend staying somewhere else.

I stayed for one night before my flight the next day. Having read previous reviews and the recent press I was a bit sceptical about staying here. Couldn't have been more wrong!! From check in to check out the service was A1. My room was spacious and clean. Went down for a drink before having a meal in the restaurant. The staff there were brilliant. Very attentive and extremely polite. The meal itself (the sirloin) was fantastic and cooked exactly as I asked. All in all I couldn't fault the place and would definitely recommend it. Don't know why the manager has to ask for false positive reviews as on my experience the service spoke for itself.

An average hotel not sure about the star rating. The girl on the reception desk was friendly enough. The car parking charges at the hotel are a rip off.The cleanliness of the rooms was fair could have been better, the walls are badly marked which I put down to suitcase scuffs. We had dinner which was ok,the one thing I didn't like was the over friendly maitre d, I don't really want to hear about what he thinks about life or his attempts at humour. It is pure and simply a transit hotel.

Room Tip: Don't bother go some place else.

Stayed 1 night Oct 13, 2012 and the service was TERRIBLE!

- the lights in our room wouldn't work so we called the front desk, she said they would send some one up, then hung up on me, and no one ever came (I interacted with the staff at least 6 times and each time they were very short with me)
- room service took an hour to come and they got our order wrong
- we requested a wake up call that never came. When I complained, they said they tried to call but it didn't go through so they just didn't bother waking us!
- they charged a ridiculous fee for the airport shuttle, and they don't tell you until you're all in the van, and the drive takes literally 30 seconds
- they charge by the minute for local calls and their long distance rate was almost 3 times that of the hotel we stayed at in Edinburgh!
- They also charge for internet, and only provide 5 tv channels (they claim to offer pay per view movies, but they weren't available). I know it's a minor point, but I've never seen a hotel with so few amenities).

I would strongly advise staying elsewhere.
