“Great location but rooms need improving”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Most people will book this hotel for convenience of getting an early flight from Glasgow airport and it is ideally placed for that- The airport is just across the road! The park and stay offer is very reasonable
The staff were very pleasant, the dining was pretty acceptable and the bar areas were fine for an overnight stay
The main gripe is the state of the rooms- We had to be moved twice before we eventually got a room which was adequate. First room had a flashing bathroom light and no maintenance man was available as it was a Sunday. Second room had no lights in the entrance lobby of the room and the roof tiles were dislodged and unsightly. Even the room which finally got was a bit dingy and in need of a bit of a spruce-up but by that time I just wanted to unpack and relax.

It's not a bad hotel but by Holiday Inn's own standards it's not up to scratch. It needs a refit to improve the quality of accommodation

Dear tarlair

Thank you for choosing to stay at Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport.

I am sorry that we were unable to provide you with a comfortable, well maintained bedroom first time round. This isn't acceptable and I would love to look into this further, not to mention to discuss further how I could restore your faith in the Holiday Inn experience.

I do hope to hear from you soon.

The best feature of this hotel is the staff. Always friendly and avialable to assist. Breakfast is also very good. Although there is not much else about other than the airport then you can easy jump a bus opposite the hotel into the centre of Glasgow for a very reasonable £8 return (Oct 13) it only takes about 15 minutes each way off peak and just as quick and far cheaper than a taxi. For those on business then a disppointing feature is that internet access is cahrgeable and the signal is not that strong and drops occassionally,my room was at the end of the building so I may have been in a weaker area but I still didnt find it value for money.
Rooms are typical Holiday Inn,clean and comfortable.
I would stay here again

Room Tip: You may as well ask for a room overlooking the airport ,the windows are double insi=ulated and there...

We've stayed a few times when we have an early morning flight as the hotel is right across the road from the airport. The rooms are adequate with comfortable beds and the staff are excellent. The self service breakfast is nice. We've only ever eaten in the bar in the evening and the food isn't that great so would recommend eating elsewhere before going to the hotel for bed and breakfast, and catching a morning flight feeling relaxed and rested.

Convenient location, just walk across the Glasgow airport. Super-speedy check-ins - within 10minutes. Easy stopover if you have just landed in Glasgow late in the evening. Good breakfast. The rooms are well laid out, internet connectivity available, staff efficient providing excellent service with a smile!

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Stayed one night of 14 October having completed the West Highland Way. Secured twin room for £47 and was very satisfied. Dinner in the restaurant rates as one with the most ordinary, bland, awful food ever. The starter of chicken liver pate was without flavour, the bread crumbled when broken, and it was accompanied by limp, oiled rocket leaves. The main course of steak pie was worse. The pie crust was rock hard and the crushed (mashed) potato was barely warm. This was completed by a handful of peas. Is this really the best Holiday Inn can manage at an international airport? This hotel is a cultural and catering backwater. I'm embarrassed that international visitors have to stay there.

if you want an easy walk to the Airport to check in or sleep after a long flight, this is the place. 50 yards from the Airport terminal. Other than that one issue, it's a SO SO place to spend a night. The rooms are tiny but clean and well appointed. The bed was quite hard, but a nice assortment of pillows. The front desk staff efficient, but not overly attentive. I called for a wake up call, and they referred me to set it up on my own TV which I did, but do it yourself was the mindset. I had Wi-Fi access for the lobby area, but they only allow one devise for the Wi-Fi code so pick the cell or the computer, because you can't use both. So SO restaurant, and lobby area is always busy with people coming and going.

Room Tip: Ask for any room that may be a bit larger if you have more than one traveler, because the room I sta...

We had a flight landing quite late on the Saturday night at Glasgow airport so decided to stay over- we got a good price for this hotel so just booked it. The hotel had recently went through a face lift and it has made this hotel very nice especially the rooms. The toilet in the rooms is in an awkward position but the beds were comfy and the room has good facilities. Would definitely recommend and go back to the hotel. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.
