I arrived quite late to the Ramada right by Glasgow Airport. It's like 5 minutes drive from the airport and I hear there is a shuttle service that takes you to and from the airport.
When I went up to my floor I accidentally went into the wrong room, I was assigned one of the studio suites. I didn't realise all the rooms were called Studio suites and mine was number 4.
I went into suite 1 to see only a board table and chairs, a whiteboard, and a door leading to a bathroom. I looked for another door wondering where the bed was. I didn't realise I was staying on the business floor. This room was a conference room.
I managed to find the right room, with bed. The decor is just as it is on the website. My only gripe is that there was an ashtray on the coffee table. I thought how silly that was, then saw a sign next to it saying smoking room. The room had a very stale stench, which really annoyed me because I'm a nonsmoker with asthma. I opened the window only to not be able to shut it again, the receptionist came up to shut it for me though.
My other worry was that my key was able to open other rooms on my floor. i thought it just opened the conference room, but it opened the one right next door. The receptionist mumble something about it being a master key. I didn't feel very safe as I wondered how many of these he'd given out.
Anyway, the decor of the room was nice. The bathroom was OK. Bedding clean.
Even though I'd had the window open, I woke up to the stench of stale smoke again. I couldn't leave the window open at night because it was a little noisy with the motorway not too far off, and planes.
