We were staying in Pitlochry for a short break while visiting the Enchanted Forest (on in the Autumn only, book in advance, esp good for kids), and most of the hotels were booked already. We happened upon the website for the Dalshian guest house and were lucky to find they had a vacancy. The Dalshian has recently changed hands and the new owners are planning to refurbish the rooms as they are needing a bit of TLC. That said our family room was very spacious had lovely views over its wooded grounds which looked as if they would be nice to stroll in (the Dalshian is in the country about 1 mile from the town of Pitlochry) and was spotlessly clean. A couple of minor repairs were needed and we brought those to the owners attention. There is a welcoming lounge for residents, feels like a small country house hotel. There was some homemade shortbread and tea/coffee etc in our rooms. The breakfast was lovely, all freshly prepared and a good choice of cooked breakfast. Plenty of toast and fresh tea/coffee. The toast was made with homemade bread also. As it was cold a real fire had been lit in the breakfast room. Thoroughly recommended and wish the new proprietors all the best in their new venture.
