“First Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We can't thank you enough for making our first trip away as a couple so very memorable. Even down to putting our Champagne you found in our room into your chiller for us. If that had happened in Aberdeen we would have thought it had been stolen. A lovely house, hosts, and setting. Thank you both so very much. Steve & Claire

Would highly recommend this hotel, warm welcome, comfortable bedroom, extensive breakfast menu. Graeme suggested short walk after our car journey and couple of places for evening meal. Sorry our stay was so short as in the area for a family wedding. Hope to return in the not too distant future.

As soon as we were greeted we knew this was going to be a winner. Diane and Graeme were so relaxed, friendly and generally out to help their guests have a good holiday. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and my husband certainly enjoyed the porridge with the "wee dram"
I cannot recommend this highly enough and hopefully we will revisit as Pit Locherie is also a very interesting place

Landed in here on the off chance the beautiful garden drew us in. Booked in for 1 night and stayed for 4 still wasn't enough. Fab breakfasts and lovely bedroom with everything you can think of including silent running fridge and great Internet signal.

After reading all the good reviews we wondered if they could live up to there reputation.... they did and more! Fantastic.

The welcome we got and the knowledge we got of the area really helped us feel relaxed and at home.

We were told the apartments where three years old but still smelled and looked brand new.

Quiet location but just two minutes to the town centre which is just ideal.

Highly recommend!

This was our first stop in Scotland. I picked the Claymore house because of the great reviews and it lived up to what everyone was saying. The hosts were welcoming and the breakfast was wonderful. Pitlochry was a great place to stay. We spent two night and I wished I had planed more time there.

Been visiting Pitlochry for more than ten years, but it's only in the last coupla years that we have "discovered" the Claymore. Now, given the choice, we wouldn't stay ANYwhere else in town. Always a warm welcome from Graeme on arrival. He provided us with up to date information about where to and where not to eat in town and offered to make a reservation for us. The four poster rooms are enormous and enormously comfortable. The hotel has a lovely breakfast room conservatory, picnic tables on the patio and a well maintained large front garden. There is no bar but the hosts are happy to provide glasses and even offered to chill our white wine in their fridge. No meals other than breakfast, but hosts provide all the cutlery etc if you want to bring a takeaway back to the conservatory. Really relaxing place to stay !!
