“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Kinnaird Woodland lodges. Very hard to fault the lodge. Everything was clean and tidy and nicely furnished inside. The bed was extremely comfy. The wood burning stove heated the lodge up very quickly. The hot-tub was superb and looked out onto a view of Pitlochry. You get what you pay for - I would recommend highly to anyone.

Very good value for money. House keeper met us on arrival to show us the basics which was nice. She was very friendly and assured us it was okay to phone her or her husband should we require any assistance. All facilities were perfect and met our expectations. One thing I would say is that you need to really plan your showering and make best use of the boost button for hot water as I had a shower but my partner had to wait over an hour later after pressing the boost button. Log burner is fab and fairly heats the cabin! Not sure what the purpose of the fan heater in the bathroom was- it did not blow out any heat. Be prepared to spend upto £20 on logs though. Hot tub was great and what a superb view! Cabin is obviously very well maintained which really made me feel like I wanted to keep it nice and tidy. I feel like it is an ideal location! It would have been ideal to have hot tub towels and showering towels however it was clearly stated in the booking. Fab place to visit and I would definitely return! Thank you for being exactly what you described on your website! Ideal!
We didn't eat out as we took food with us. Our visit was to make the most of the cabin so this was ideal for us! We walked at black spout woods and killicrankie. Visited the fish ladder (I think this would be a superb trip during the salmon season) and stopped off at queen's view and hermitage! Queens view- what a view!

Stayed here for 3 nights towards the end of March as a relaxing treat for my wife's birthday. I was a bit worried about the snow on the way to Kinnaird and whether we would use the hot-tub in the cold...but it couldn't have been better. The property is very clean, well maintained and includes all the facilities you will need for a few days away. The wood burning stove was a lovely feature and kept the lodge really warm once it got going. The hot-tub in the snow was amazing - we couldn't believe how hot it was even though it snowed the entire time!! The view across the white hills whilst relaxing in the tub was something special. I would definitely recommend this for a romantic break - especially in the cold weather as that will add to the experience. I'm looking forward to returning again sometime soon!

Stayed here for 3 nights over Easter weekend with my hubby, baby and my parents. It was absolutely fantastic. Lodges were modern and clean and the hot tubs were just heaven. I was a bit dubious about them as thought with temp being below freezing they may be chilly but couldn't have been so wrong. It was lovely sitting in tub with the scenery in background. Will def be returning next year. If you want a chilled out relaxing break look no further than here as it was fantastic.

Thanks for your great review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the therapeutic benefits of the hot tub on a chilly day. Last night we were star gazing from our tub - felt like we were on holiday ourselves!
We look forward to welcoming you back to Kinnaird soon.

We are just back from a wonderful three day stay in bealach lodge. Greeted by a very friendly house keeper on arrival and we were shown to our lodge and how everything worked. The lodge was perfect, immaculate and had everything we needed.
We had the most relaxing time with the beautiful walks and the hot tub looking out over fields and mountains. This break was just what we were needing after a very difficult start to the year and can most definatley say we will be returning.
Thankyou

We stayed for the weekend on 25 january and had an excellent weekend, it was snowing really heavy and before we left jane called to say that we could arrive much earlier than the check in time to try and avoid the worst of the snow, when we arrived at our cabin the snow was around 2ft deep and Andy and Jane were working so hard clearing the snow from the driveway and decks of the cabins, the rest of the weekend was much the same with the owners out every few hours making sure the drive was clear. The cabin was really nice and the hot tub was amazing with the snow falling and we had the log burner on for pretty much our full stay and is a really nice feature. Would recomennd to anyone looking for a nice weekend away to a beutifull log cabin with lovely surroundings.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Kinnaird - that was some weekend for snow!
Sitting in the hot tub in the snow followed by stretching out in front of the wood burner is a must, as you found out. It's nice to know that you appreciated all our efforts to keep the driveway clear, thank you.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Kinnaird again soon.
