“Beautiful garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We visited this garden in August 2013 and had a wonderful stroll there. Following the path leading in gentle slopes through the vegetation of different continents we really enjoyed the beautiful plants, works of art and architecture. You can decide for yourself how much information about the explorers and their findings you would like to absorb - so you can spend some very educative time there or just wander around, sit on on of the extraordinary wooden benches and watch the plants and birds.
There is a little shop at the entrance, where you can buy plants to take home. I would highly recommend this site!

“Squirrel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

This is a lovely secluded and peaceful garden. The highlight of the visit was seeing a beautiful red squirrel running through the trees. There is a lot of information about the plants and where they originated. Look out for the squirrel if you do visit.

“A bit of education.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

It was very interesting to learn how many of our plants came to be in this country and the intrepid explorers who brought them back. I felt some of it was 'work in progress.'

“Great Information about explorers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Really a more than meets the eye experience. You start off thinking 'this is OK' but it goes on and on. Lots of informative sheets about early Scottish plant hunters. Well worth the money.
