We stayed at the Dalgreine in May 2006 and would highly recommend it.
The room was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The homemade marmalade was an extra nice touch.

I am surprised to find there are no reviews for this wonderful bed and breakfast, the Dalgreine Guest House, in Blair Atholl, Perthshire. Perhaps it is the new owners that made it worth reviewing (they've had it three weeks now). In any case, if you are headed to the Perthshire area, I highly recommend this beautifully kept, comfortable, and even luxurious B&B. From the welcoming hosts, whose sunshiny attitudes welcome you in, to the large comfy beds with the silk comforter, this place was great. I wish we had stayed more than our one night, if just to enjoy the room! Okay, on to the basics:
Friendly hosts, comfortable rooms, beautiful garden, but weak water pressure in the showers (my only complaint).
Walking distance (5 minutes, maybe?) from Blair Castle, which is well worth a visit on a nice day, with its extensive gardens, forest path, ancient kirk and graveyard, and daily bagpiper - not to mention a palace home, with more information and collections than you can take in in one day. Also, horseback riding, a herd of deer on property, and a good cafe and small gift shop.
A five minute drive from House of Bruar, if you are looking for a little shopping. It has touristy, unusual, and gourmet food, but the rest is luxury goods (think cashmere sweaters and rocking horses).
A ten minute drive from Pitlochry, which you can read about elsewhere, with its cute shops, smallest distillery and a GREAT Indian restaurant at the southern end of the main street (across from the tourist info center - NOT the "Prince of India").
A twenty minute drive from Newtonmore, where we went horseback riding in the Highlands. (Highland Riding Center aka Newtonmore Riding Center - Sarah and David were very nice).
Anyway, back to the Dalgreine Guest House. The Scottish breakfast was good, and the salmon and eggs dish unique among "scottish breakfasts" generally. All in all, I think this place rivaled the White Heather Hotel (B&B) in Skye, and there are lots of very-desrved great reviews for that place!
