“Wonderful 4 day stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2014

A lovely, comfortable hotel with fantastic food. Stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great base for our walking trip. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Went to the theatre which is well worth a visit too.

We recently spent 3 nights in this charming hotel with stunning views in a quiet but central location in Pitlochry. The beautiful Victorian building is efficiently run and maintained to a high standard by the owners, Helen and Peter. On arrival, we were given a very warm welcome by Helen along with advice on the local area including the theatre. All the accommodation is spotlessly clean and there is a very comfortable lounge where guests can relax with a drink. We stayed in one of the larger superior rooms on the first floor at the front of the hotel with beautiful views. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and Helen is an excellent hostess, always attentive to the needs of her guests and happy to offer advice. Peter is a very good chef providing appetising breakfasts as well as delicious evening meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The superior rooms on the first floor have beautiful views. Room 4 is the larger room but has a smal...

My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this family run hotel. It is in an excellent location. Peter and Helen Williams couldn't do enough for us - it was like staying with friends. All the staff were helpful and professional and made our stay most enjoyable. The food is amazing, both breakfast and dinner! The bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely view. Free wi-fi was a bonus. We will be recommending this hotel to all our friends and hope to visit again soon.

Room Tip: Room at the front have the best views

Everything about this hotel is perfect. The location - very near the town centre but not right on the main road so it is quiet at night; the views of the surrounding hills are magnificent; the owners and staff are incredibly helpful & friendly, providing lots of useful information about things to do in the area; the rooms are comfortable & tastefully decorated; last but not least the food... we ate here every night & each time the menu selection was amazing & the quality outstanding. This is food that you would be pleased to have in the "best" restaurants anywhere - I miss it & will return!
For keen walkers, there are several very enjoyable walks of varying distances starting right at the hotel door.

This is a beautiful hotel in a magical location. The food is excellent. Our room was very spacious and the en suite bathroom was huge. Wi-fi can be a little patchy though. Recommend this hotel to everyone.

I stayed here with my Mum a couple of weeks ago for a 2 night break in Pitlochry. Absolutely fantastic wee hotel, from our very warm welcome to the well appointed and clean room our first impressions were great.

We ate at the hotel on our first night and I am so glad we did, the food is absolutely to die for, all cooked fresh to order and extremely good value.

Breakfast was again brilliant both mornings.

Really glad we found this gem of a place. We'll definitely be back!

Having just spent four days in this extremely pleasant hotel, I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone. We had room 7..
It is on the top floor but boy is it worth the climb up the stairs. The room is superbly equipped with a light crisp clean feel about it. There are two windows facing a picture postcard view . It is a lovely quirky room with all mod cons good wi fi and t.v reception ,smartly and tastefully decorated. We just smiled every time we entered the room..... thats the quirky bit. The hotel is a family run concern. The attention you receive from all of them is second to none and makes for a relaxed and happy stay.Helen and James her son are genuine lovely people .... if she reads this she will be blushing. Try an evening meal the food is mouth watering. The breakfast has something for everyone. The cooked breakfast is cooked to order and is excellent. Cheers Peter. Thanks to all at Tigh Na Cloich for a memorable stay.

Room Tip: Great view from room 7 but the stairs my not suit the less mobile.
