We saw the hotel on the website and booked purely down to the price and the on-line pictures of the rooms. There were six of us in our group motorcycling around West Scotland and what a gem Beinn Bhracaigh is. Alf and Ann are extremely welcoming and go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome and at ease whilst in the guest house. We were all very impressed with our rooms which were decorated to a very high standard and with much care to detail. I did read a couple of reviews prior to our visit which said the bathrooms were a bit dated, well no more, all our bathrooms were again well fitted out to a very high standard with the thickest towels I have ever felt!!! Breakfast was amazing, due to us being a larger than average group we were given the privilege of a private dinning room which was laid out with fresh fruit, cereals, fresh bread and all the trimmings as well as an excellent Scottish Breakfast. So impressed were we all with our stay we have booked to go again in August!!!

“A wee gem of a place”

This is a lovely, comfortable and welcoming place to spend time. It's actually hard to pick out particular aspects to concentrate on in this review as there are so many outstanding things about it.

They have done a great job on decorating the place - it's Scottish but not twee. Of course the atmosphere is about more than the decor, it's mainly about the hosts, and they are doing a fine job there too. I was particularly impressed by Alf's ability to remember everyone's names and have a personal chat with all the guests, including the baby at the table next to us!

The only improvement I can think of is if they could put herbal teabags on the tea tray in the room for those of us who don't drink caffeine, but that's just a small thing.

We have now stayed a number of times and each time is better than the last. Ann and Alf are so friendly, welcoming and always on hand to give advise about your trip. The first time we stayed it was during our house move from the midlands to the highlands and we ended up arriving at 1.30am, Alf was there and so friendly even at this time! The beds are so comfortable and the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup are a must! I am very fussy about the cleanliness of the room and have never been let down, they are perfect.

We stayed at the Beinn Bhracaigh for one night to explore the smallest
whisky destillery in Scotland, Edradour. When we arrived we were greeted very warmly by the owner of the Beinn Bhracaigh, Alf. He helped us very much with directions and good tips about other regional sites and highlights and where to find good places to have dinner.

Our room was spotless with a great view though the ensuite bathroom was a little outdated. But Alf made sure that it was just a matter of time until all bathrooms would be renovated - they had just moved to this new location and at the time of our arrival had not finished renovating the old wing of the house. We could get a glimpse of the freshly renovated rooms and bathrooms and they were very tasteful and spacious but unfortunatly were all booked before. But our room was comfortable after all: as we were out all day and in the evening, for us it was important that we would get a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed in a quiet environment which was all perfectly met. And the breakfast was wonderful- with everything from cereals, croissants, fresh fruit salad with gigantic rasberries, and a choice of full Scottish breakfast, pancakes to porridge. We enjoyed our (too)
short stay very much!

Stayed here overnight while visiting Pilotchry's Enchanted forest experience http://www.perthshire.co.uk/index.asp?lm=198.

Ann and Alf Berry who run this B&B are careful to ensure each visitor is met with a tasteful and caring experience. A very clean, classy establishment with a hearty breakfast- cooked with the best local produce rather than cheap supermarket fast food buys. There is a range of choice on the menu.

This B & B is no longer at Knockyard Road but has moved to Upper Oakfield and is now a big property with 12 rooms(not as before when there were only 3). Some bedrooms have a lovely view of forests and in autumn, the colours are beautiful.

If you want a quiet, tasteful place to rest with really comfy beds and where everything is clean, neat and tidy, with good quality furniture- book here.
