This is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast establishment, with refreshingly modern interiors. It is less than 5 minutes walk along a flat roadside to the centre of Pitlochry and there is plenty of parking.

We stayed in room 14 for a couple of nights in November 07. The room was spacious, the furniture was modern and of good quality and there was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable.
The bathroom was small but very neat and the shower was great and quite powerful.

It was a really really cold while we were there and we were glad that there was good heating in the room which we had control over.

The House and Courtyard is very charming and the garden is lovely and has a patio which I imagine will be really nice to spend time on during the warmer months.

The breakfasts were delicious and you should definately try the Polish apple pancake !

It is lovely walking back from Pitlochry in the evening when it's dark to see the trees to the entrance of the courtyard lit with fairy lights.

We only had a one night stay at Craigatin, but not many places have left me so impressed. If you are thinking of staying here, then do, I'd be very surprised if you could find anything negative.

We received a warm welcome, once we'd figured the doorbell out. The room we had was superb, as was the breakfast. the garden looks great even on a damp November morning.

Will be back, superb value for money, 5 star hotel quality, for 3 star hotel prices, this is far more than a guest house.

A short walk into town.

PS - Don't believe your satnav if you come from the south, the property is on the left not the right !

“Stylish Craigatin”

Craigatin House & Courtyard

We were getting married in the Pitlochry Festival Theatre and needed a stylish place to stay for us and some of our guests on night before and the night of the wedding. We also needed the facility to entertain our guests on both evenings -champagne reception before going out for a meal on the Saturday and drinks after the wedding which finished at 8.00pm on the Sunday. A lovely room was provided with an ice bucket and the right glasses and coffee was even provided on the Sunday - all free of charge.
Our room was beautifully fitted out in a contemporary style with excellent lighting and nice original features.
Breakfast was a treat. An original menu - porridge with whisky, cream & soft brown sugar; creamy smoked haddock omelette; Ewelina's Polish Apple pancake were on offer as well as the usual fair, served in a bright conservatory, all to a high standard.
Service was also friendly and helful. All in all ,an excellent memory of a special time in gorgeous Perthshire.

From the moment we made our email/phone reservation to the time we checked out, Martin and Andrea (new owners of Craigatin Inn or House?) made our stay EASY. Whether it was directions, use of the internet, whatever, they were there. I like their hands-on approach, actually being active owner-managers whose presence is at least 50% of this inn's charm and attraction. Former Londoners who chose this business to allow them to enjoy the beauty of the countryside, they are helpful, friendly, and sociable. Considerable people skills which only add to the pluses here. The Inn had been renovated in a striking contemporary style which strangely enough, totally suits this otherwise turn of the century looking inn. Subtle colors, neutral decor with very clean lines. It has all the comforts and look of a hotel at a B&B price. Great food at breakfast, excellent wait service, and an overall coziness to this establishment make it a must on our next trip. In fact we were so comfortable we stayed an extra day. Our dormer windows looked out on trees everywhere in the distant hills and though it was top of the building, we had no lack of space. Closet, bathroom, were excellent. Space very workable. Modern bathroom, comfy bed. I can't recommend it enough.

A beautifully renovated house in spectacular grounds. Rooms were very stylishly furnished in modern fashion yet still in keeping with the character of the house. The food was excellent, served in a lovely dining room and conservatory.
A most stylish and professionally run establishment.
