Four of us were on an afternoon coach stop in Pitlochry and needed a cup of tea.
Looked in on Hetties Tea Room and was most surprised by the decor, we weren't sure if they had recently taken over vacant premises and hadn't bothered or had time to decorate of if it was intentional. (Quirky)
We were seated quite promptly and waited a slightly long time for our order to be taken, even though it wasn't particularly busy.
We placed our order which arrived quite promptly.
We were oddly surprised to be given an egg timer (Quirky)and instructed how to use it timing the brewing the tea, although it was already running out so presumably this meant that the order had been at least 3 minutes waiting to be served.
The crockery comprised of oddments (Quirky presumably intentional)
However, the loose leaf tea and the scones were very good and were worth waiting for.
Can also recommend the chocolate Ice Cream which we bought on our way back to the coach.
If back in that neck of the woods, would certainly call in again
