A beautiful place with a very exciting history! Nice café and an interesting shop. A great visitor center by National Trust of Scotland!

“Not for the less than able bodied”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

If you aren't as steady on your feet as most then you can only get so far along the trail. There is a nice stopping point but had to let the other half go on ahead. The visitor centre has the history of the battle of Killicrankie and there is a some information on the wildlife. Parking is two pounds pay and display even for blue badge holders which if you are able to make full use of the site isn't that bad.
There is a nice cafe doing sandwiches bacon rolls burgers, no chips, which was clean with a nice outside seating area. The day we were there the lady behind the counter was very friendly and even though she was on her own our order was pretty quick and at £2.95 for a decent bacon roll the prices were good compared to what you can pay at other such sites.
Worth the stop.

“Beautiful walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We had the perfect day for a walk, great weather and this was a beautiful place to visit. It's steep in parts and the ground uneven, but that is part of the natural beauty. Seeing the Linn of Tummel was worth the walk. Very quiet on the path with very few people out and about.

“Good walks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Goods walks and interesting visitor centre. Some of the paths were overgrown and could do with a bit of clearance.

“Fascinating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

The history of the Battle of Killicrankie was fascinating, and the surroundings are beautiful. Just be aware that the long walk down does also mean a long walk back up!!
