Having loved the film, I wondered how this desert island story would be handled on stage. The answer was, with great imagination. We had a substitute actress due to illness who didn't know the part, so had to read from a script. This was neatly handled by both of the spoilt girls spending their time with a head in a book. The relationship between Crichton/Gov and His Lordship/Daddy was perfectly played and the timing of the possible discovery of the truth of the island brilliant.
