Stayed here for one night while our Daughter was nearby with her school. We had booked an executive room. The hotel itself is quiet modern and very well run. The staff are professional and polite. There is ample private parking and the hotel is situated 5 mins walk from the city centre just down from Perth Railway Station. Room was lovely , a great size, flat screen TV, DVD etc. Bed was a nice width which was great but no long enough, I'm 6ft 2" and my feet were hanging over the edge!. The bathroom was also lovely bu I found the Shower temp a little tepid for my tastes. We had a good walk around Perth Highstreet, and came back to the Hotel to eat. We had booked a table at the Hotels Acanthus Restraunt. Its got a rating of 2 rosettes and it certainly lived up to that. The meal was mouth watering, and really well presented. Right from the start we were seted in the lounge while our table was prepared where we had a pre dinner drink and canopies. The meal itself was a four course affair. After we managed to complete the last course (which was a struggle) we rolled into the lounge again where we were served Tea/Coffee and buscuits.

Breakfast in the morning was also very good, with plenty on offer. A great little hotel, with a fantastic restraunt, well worth a visit.

We found this hotel after reading many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The room we stayed in had a terrific view over the outisde seating area and had views onto the park beyond. The bathroom was huge! Double sinks, a jacuzzi bath (which unfortunatley did not work) and a seperate shower.
A short stroll through the hotel gardens brings you to a lovely park, with a large duck pond and some other activities.
The food, as others descirbed it was fantastic, both for dinner and for breakfast. We also found staff to be very attentitive in a low-key way.

We accommodated some overspill from a family event and they were very happy indeed with the rooms which I had picked, the hotel staff and the breakfasts provided giving it 5 out of 5. They had a terrace that was excellent for a drink in the afternoon or prior to dinner.

We also had a dinner for 10 of us on one night and had a great evening with superb food and again great service. The menu is modern and although not large, there was plenty of choice. I think it is a bit of a hidden gem in Perth.

stayed here for one night. Room very small, small double bed but huge bathroom. Very strangely decorated with old fashioned dark furniture and other very modern touches. Nothing matched, looked as though it had been thrown together by someone with no taste whatsoever. Also for a 4 star hotel would have expected tea/coffee making facilities which would have been much more welcome than the cd player
However, service was superb as was the food in the restaurant where we ate evening meal. Garden was glorious and we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening by the small lily ponds and a coffee in the morning on the terrace.
Overall lovely atmosphere in hotel and staff could not have been more helpful .
Overall, very good hotel but badly let down by the bedrooms. Perhaps the superior rooms would be worth trying ?

We have stayed at Parklands several times because of the convenience of the location, close to the centre of Perth yet pleasant with the park on the doorstep, and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, but what really sets the hotel apart is the standard of the food. We have never had a disappointing dinner and were particularly impressed that on our most recent visit, which was on a quiet Sunday evening with (we later learned) the number two chef in the kitchen, the quality of the food was excellent.
We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we visit Perth.
