“Nice small hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

We stayed at the Sunbank House this summer. The hotel is nice at 10mn walking distance from downtown. The room was spacious and overseeing the river but the bathroom is small. The hotel is very quiete. For breakfast, we got a nice traditionnal scottish meal.

The hotel sits North of the river Tay, raised looking over the city. The building is lovely standing in its own grounds. The staff are friendly and very helpful(moved a car helped with my trailer, couldn't have asked for more). Very nice large, very clean room, with a large bathroom and a good large bed. Great veiw of the city. Only had breakfast which was excellent.

We will go again next time we are south towards Perth. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Perth or around the area.

Stayed here for two nights, room and breakfast. we were greeted with a nice warm welcome and shown around the hotel. we were also given walking directions into town and informed of various things to do around perth and its surroundings. the room was spacious and very clean, good shower and clean bathroom.
although we had the front room next to the busy road it didnt interfere with a good nights sleep.
Breakfast both mornings was lovely and very well made and presented, you arnt left short on choices.
The only downfall to our stay was coming back to find our room had been tidied whilst were out for the day. we just felt it was an infringement of our privicey of paying for a private room.
All in all a nice place to stay really close to the heart of all the tourist attractions and city centre shops

We had a great stay at this hotel- beds are very comfortable, delicious food and the customer service is absolutely superb! It is a lovely building with only a handful of rooms, it definitely has its character. The two things that we'd change are: the towels are very rough and there is a problem with the faucets. When you turn on the hot AND cold water at the same time, even though it comes out from the one faucet, there is a definite VERY HOT stream and a cold stream. The way around it, is to fill up the sink with water and wash your hand/face that way, or pour some water in a provided cup when brushing teeth.

We came late on a Thursday night and were very genuinely greated by a gentleman named Remo. He showed us a family room that was just perfect and then showed the entire accommodation. That was jyst lovely; when somebody show so much pride in his place, that can't be wrong. Very clean and cozy rooms. Great complete scottich breakfast (my soon really enjoyed the haggis) with very good efficient service. Don't hesitate, this is a great place with a lot of spirit, short walk from a lot of restaurants.

We spent a long wet weekend at Sunbank House Hotel ...FANTASTIC .. it was very relaxling, peacefull ,clean, like a home from home . The staff were very polite ,well dressed, and nothing was ever a problem to them . The rooms were very clean and to a high standard .The chef made the meals from start to finish and were superb. We would highly reccommend this hotel .Its very easy to get to and has its own parking at the back .Ideal for familes or just a stop over, either its a pleasure to have found such a gem . Will definately go back.

Room Tip: Rooms at back are quieter,as main road and rail lines are to the front but dont let that put you off...

When I booked this hotel I wanted somewhere to stay that was way above average. I was not disappointed. This hotel is an old building but kept very well. The decoration is very stylish and very up to date. Everything was very clean and the standards were very high.

I cannot fault this hotel in any way. The hospitality offered by the in house proprietor was second to none.

If you truly love someone? Take her here.

'nuff said.

Room Tip: Ours was Room 9!
