I felt that I just had to write a review following the previous reviewers unkind and in my view unjust comments. Our last visit to the hotel was late Jan and once more we were looked after by a warm and attentive team of staff. Like every hotel you would visit occasionally things can go wrong but it is how the place puts it right that counts. I have always found the hotels management to be freindly and professional, and always willing to go out of thier way to assist.

The food in the Old Masters Restaurant was once again sublime with the service to match. The cleanliness of the property and especially the rooms lived up to our previous high standards.

Murrayshall is a lovely hotel with excellent facilities, combined with a staff the genunily seem to care which is rare today. As to the prvious coment about the General Manager, we found him to be very helpfull, and is proud of his hotel and staff, we met him on arrival, not that we had asked for him, he just offered to help with the bags!

What more can we say, good value for money, freindly staff and a view to die for, we'll certainly be back!!

My family and I have recently returned from a 3 month vacation around Europe. During this time we stayed at some lovely and friendly hotels in Paris, London, Vienna to name but a few. We also however had the extreme misfortune to stay at the Murrayshall Hotel just outside Perth, Scotland. The hotel itself was fine, it was clean and in a beautiful location but the staff working in the hotel were very unhelpful and uncaring. When we arrived at the hotel at 8pm, after a long day travelling, we had to wait an hour before we could check-in to our room. This I felt was totally unacceptable but because we were all very tired I decided not to say anything about it at the time. The next day I went to reception and again was made to wait a considerable time before I could make my complaint to the General Manager, who quite frankly didn't seem to care less. Basically if you want a room with a view then this is the place, otherwise avoid it like the plague.

We were married in Murrayshall Hotel in October 2003
and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We are from Northern Ireland and brought family, friends and work colleagues to the hotel for the weekend. Murrayshall did not let us down and two years later it is still a topic of conversation at get togethers.
I left everything to the capable staff with regard to the wedding and all I had to do was turn up.

Very very pleasant staff, lovely rooms and terrific breakfast!

The hotel made a special day even more special.

My son and daughter-in-law were married in July 2004 and had their wedding reception at Murrayshall on a glorious day and with excellent service. The whole day went like clockwork from beginning to end.We also had a large party of guests staying overnight at the hotel and the following morning we had an excellent breakfast. I am originally from the Perth area with my mother and other relatives still living in the area so I was very proud of my fellow country men in the way they provided service to all our guests from many parts of the country

We have just returned from a one-night visit to Murrayshall House. We opted to stay one of the suites (a Lynedoch Suite) - these are in a different building about 50 metres from the main hotel.

We were impressed by everything about the place. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was spotless and bright, and the food was excellent. Since the hotel is home to two golf courses, most of the people staying were golfers. However, we just came for some peace and quiet in pleaseant surroundings, and Murrayshall (at least in our suite) provided just that.

It was our first visit to Murrayshall, but we will definitely be going back.
