Me and my partner have just been to the quality hotel in Perth for a weekend away to chill out. We arrived at the hotel on the 29th of January at 5:30 at night roughly. The hotel was very easy to find as it was at the opposite side of the car park straight in front of you as soon as you leave the train station. The building was very nice from the outside as it looked victorian and i like to see old buildings as it is different to all the modern ones. The inside of the hotel was modernised but still had been designed so as the victorian style of the hotel was still kept. We found the reception staff very friendly and helpful to us checking in and also through our stay. We were able to get to our room very easy as it was on the first floor. When we got into the hotel room we were very pleased to see that the room was very clean and neatly set out. In the room we had our own bathroom with a toilet, a sink and a shower and bath combo which was kept extreamly white. In the main room we had a king size bed with very nice white sheets that looked new, We also had our own t.v. with ordinary channels and things like E4. We also had a wardrobe, two bedside tables, a dressing table, a large mirror two chairs and a table. All of the furniture in the room was very modern and stylish and the room was painted in a very nice peaceful red end cream. We had coffee making facilities which was really helpful as we had to travel quite a bit and needed a coffee when we were going to relax. The hotel had allot of helpful information all around the hotel and we also had quite a bit of information in our room which was neatly put on the dressing table when we arrived. The hotel is really big and spacious with a restaurant and bar down stairs. We did not go to the restaurant as we wanted to go out for meals. The one bad thing about the hotel bar is that it is extreamly dear. Me and my partner ordered a pint and a vodka and coke which alarmingly came to 7 pounds which was not so good. The town center was perfect for someone wanting to get away for a shopping break and it has a lot of great sites to see like the river tay which was very beautiful especially at night. In all our trip was wonderful and i would recomend this place to anyone who wants to get away for a romantic break to get some peace and quiet.
Yours Sincerely
Happy Customer.

“Amazing Value for Money”

Quality Hotel Station Perth

Mar 2, 2008

We booked a room on the monday for the following saturday and paid just £35. Great value. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and informed us that we actually had a family room rather than the double we had booked..bonus..more space!

Our room was spacious, lovely high ceilings and complete with everything we would need..including two extra beds (!) The ensuite bathroom was large and clean, plenty of hot water available for a bath in the evening and then a morning shower.

We found the hotels location perfect for sightseeing around Perth because it was so close to the town centre. Peaceful/quiet overnight. If you travel by train the station is very very close by. Free carparking was also a major bonus.

Unfortunately I didn't sample the food so can't comment on this. I would say that the room was very warm, the heating was on the whole time we were there..so there's no need for fleecy pyjamas as has been the case in some of the places I've stayed recently.

Yes the decor and some of the fixtures may be a little dated and tired looking but you can't fault the cleanliness of the hotel or the relaxing space it offers.

If you are coming to Perth I would recommend a walk up the Kinnoull Hill..amazing views. I'd never been to Perth before and staying at the Quality Hotel really made my first trip a joy, I would be sure to come back and use this hotel again when I stay in Perth.

    • Disliked — The heat in the room, became quite stifling towards the end of the night.

Booked this hotel through Easy-Breaks, I read the reviews after this and was very concerned but I needn't have been. It cost us only £60 for two, DB/B, the room was spacious and clean, food was good and service was courteous. The bed was clean and comfortable. No problems. The building looks a bit worse for wear but it is Victorian. Gave my rating based on the bargain price!

“Great Value”

Quality Hotel Station Perth

Booked this for 2 nights. Only cost £58 for 2 people which is bargainous. Didn't expect much for that price but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Room was clean, spacious and tidy. Very nice. Staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.

“Fawlty towers is better!!!!!!”

Quality Hotel Station Perth

Dec 28, 2007

Booked this hotel through a coach company, arrived 23/12 left on 27/12.
The good points were :
clean, comfortable room
Bad points:
dreadful management
staff unhelpful, but this could be due to poor management
frozen christmas dinner
no mince pies or decorations at Xmas!
could not cope with more than 1 coach party.
self -service and cold tea/coffee
bar closed at 3pm xmas day
£5.39 for one glass of wine.
had to request bread for buffet on xmas day as the staff thought "we wouldn't want any". the smallest piece of xmas pud you could have. poor hygiene in the kitchen (no gloves whilst handling buffet) no packed lunch, no entertainment to talk off bar a 90yr old bloke talking about the war!!!!!!
truly the worst break we have ever had & would not wish it on my worst enemy.
