Booked 1 night dinner bed and breakfast for myself and friend. Both booked in different female names but were given a double room. Rude german receptionist said there was nothing she could do - still happy to take our money the next morning. Dinner was apalling, luke warm soup and no drinks offered. Had to ask to see sweet menu, waiter kept running away into the kitchen. When we complained we were told we had to speak to the dm and were merely pointed towards her as she walked past - a scruffy old woman who was calling everyone 'darling'!!
The bedroom was tired and cheaply decorated, with mildew growing in the shower. Pillows were stained with yelllow marks. Oh and lift was broken - but apparently this is normal for the hotel. Absolutely shocking hotel - should be closed down.

We had to get a hotel in Perth that night. Payed £100. Total rip off.
No breakfast, very small and strange smelling room. Big old hotel in need of some serious investment. Staff had lovely way of speaking to
you as if you are a wee a bit stupid and they were giving you a row. Always nice to pay to be told of by scruffy receptionist. However, room was not actually dirty. But if the best you can say for a place is that it was not so bad you had to leave it is not really a recommendation. Only go if you have no other option. Perth is a great
place and the countryside round it is brilliant. There are much better places to stay.

Booked my brother and his wife to stay for two nights as it was his 60th birthday paid for premier room they were escorted into a tiny box room which was very damp he also was asked for payment which i already had done he explained it had been payed for but hotel took the payment out of MY accout again without my concent SO BEWARE

after reading the reviews on this my work party was a bit dubious about coming here for our murder mystery do, but when i walked into my room and there was a four poster double bed, a single bed AND a jacuzzi bath, we wondered what all the fuss was about! although after our do we went to the bar and they had no caffreys, no guiness and no ICE!! food was less than mediocre tho we were all that drunk it didnt matter. walking around it was like being in some old scary movie there were lots of funny wee corridors and various doors that had nothing written on them. all in all was an ok stay but i wouldnt hurry back.
