Restaurant is clean and modern but was empty on a saturday night. Perhaps a sign of the times but didn't bode well. Menu is not cheap ( £7 starters; £17 mains & £6 desserts) and perhaps this is why restaurant was empty. Starter of duck salad and salmon fillet main were both pleasant well cooked dishes but lacked that little bit extra you might expect considering the fine dining prices. The dessert of strawberry frangipan tart was big let down. It reminded me of school jam tart as this was basically what it was - hot strawberry jam wrapped in pastry with ice cream. It was so sickly sweet I could only finish two mouthfuls. Service was however friendly and efficient.
