“Warm welcome and a good cheap meal with a drink included”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

I was there on a Tuesday, which meant it was Steak night. A 10oz gammon with all the trimings and a drink for £6.75.

It was actually well cooked and did the trick with a nice pint to wash it down.

“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Been in a couple of times - foods fine and reasonably priced, drinks also reasonable priced and generally a good atmosphere. Not self service, you have to choose what you want and order at the bar, but that's reflected in the price.

“CHEAP..... BUT CERTAINLY NOT NASTY..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Called into the Muckle X on Monday evening. One of the Wetherspoons pub chain the premises are first class, staff well dressed clean and efficient. As its a little bit of self service you order at the bar theres not a lot of waiting. The cuisine may not be top of the range but you get what you pay for and this pub is excellant value..and the food was good and tasty as well. There is a good varied menu with themed nights i,e Indian/steak etc I had the chicken burger and expected cheap battered chicken a la iceland/farmfoods what I got was a tasty butterfly chicken breast in a large fresh floury bap with tasty chips and salad along with a pint of lager for the pricy sum of £5.10 You couldnt buy and make it yourself for that price...GET IN THERE !!!!!!!!
