“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Lovely wee cafe in the center of Elgin. Service always quick and efficient, may have to wait for a table at busy times.

“Good meeting and coffee place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

Good coffee and teas, just need to change the menu times for likes of scrambled eggs, and possibly add a wifi connection. Scones are tasty.
Some staff require a bit retrain and a smile! And whilst it is nice that no chemical is used on tables just vinegar it can be very potent .. One member of staff that is often clearing tables on a Saturday needs simple table wiling skills.

“Modern and querky.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

Lovely shop with interesting stock, plenty to browse at before you go up stairs to eat. There is a reasonable menu and the service was good. Again there are plenty of things to look at when you are eating..Down side is the staircase, as it is spiral so if you have any difficulty with stairs, or have a push chair, the restaurant is out of bounds.

“great place to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Been here a few times with my daughter. We particularly love the scones and cakes, but the soup is good too. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is that of a small intimate cafe, not like a greasy spoon, but somewhere to go for good home bakes. The service is quick and we like it, however the only bad thing that we have to say is that last time we came in and my daughter wanted a hot drink so she asked for a hot chocolate and the lady came with this beautiful glass with cream and marshmallows and a flake, and everything tasted lush right up to the point that my daughter dipped her spoon into the hot chocolate and it was RANK AND DISGUSTING!! Not many places I know make their hot chocolate with boiling water. Your'e supposed to make it with hot milk. YUK YUK YUK!! Wont put me off coming back for those gorgeous cheese scones just won't be having any of that nasty cheap hot chocolate

“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012 via mobile

This is a lovely place! The staff are great and the food is good! It's reasonably priced and a nice place to sit. I've visited a few times and would continue to keep returning. The cafe is above a gorgeous little shop owned by the same person. It's definitely worth a look either on the way in or the way out. The only criticisms I could offer are that the cafe is up a narrow staircase which makes I difficult to get up and down. The whole place has been extended twice and I look forward to the owner announcing another extension as I'm sure he will. It seems to be one of the only thriving businesses in the town centre which is lovely to see.
