Needed to stay in Greenock to see some family members. I read about this hotel from a website. Due to the fact it is a chain hotel i found the staff polite but they dont go out their way for you. I also heard the reception staff have a competition to see who can charge the most for a room which i find appalling!!! The breakfast was so so and the restaurant food could have been better. The rooms were clean but on the small side. For the money i paid i expected a lot more

Recently stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn Greenock. I had been told the hotel was there by some friends and was looking to visit them so opted to stay there rather than with them. I phoned and booked directly with hotel and have to say it was excellent value for money and I would stay again. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere and my friends were able to come and meet me for a few drinks before we went out for the night. Breakfast was included in the rate which was ideal and the room was clean and comfortable with everything you need, great showers.

I stayed at the Express by Holiday inn Greenock with my wife and two kids, we need a weekend away as my wife had just lost her mother, We booked online a family from for 2 adults and 2 kids was so easy. Easy to find the hotel as it right by the main road in to greenock. We stay in and had dinner, food is the right type of food for the hotel and the pool table for the kids to play on and i could watch football on the flat screen tv . We had some tickets include in the rate to local ice and water park. the kids loved it and spent most of the day there. The staff where were so nice and welcoming at any point we meet them in the hotel. I would stay again.

Just spent the weekend at the Express Holiday Inn in Greenock. After driving into the town, which is in the middle of a major re-development, the hotel was a very pleasing sight. There is plenty of free parking at the front of the hotel. We were greeted promptly and checked in swiftly with no problems.

The room was very clean and spacious for our needs. We were travelling with our 6 year old, who had a double sofa bed. The bathroom was very clean and every thing was there that you needed. The only down side, was the bed, It was VERY VERY soft, and if, like my husband, you have a dodgy back, this isn't good news.

Breakfast was good. It is only continental, which consists of cereal, yogurts, fruit juice, fresh fruit, croissants, danish pastries, bread rolls and toast. It is all self-service but spaces are limited and you may have to wait for a vacant table. Ample for our needs, but if you are looking for the "full monty" you would be disappointed.

Staff were very pleasant and on the whole we enjoyed our trip to Scotland. Would visit again if in the area.
