Driven past the Boath House hundreds of times on my way to Inverness completely oblivious of this hidden retreat of gastronomic excellence! Decided to treat ourselves to a dinner and night stay at the Boath House which looking back is definitely the best way to experience it.
The meal is top class and well executed as you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Their menu changes daily so I can't really recommend any dishes but the food was cooked very well. Just the right amount of detail in each dish both in presentation and taste.
The breakfast next day was definitely on par with the evening meal (perhaps better?!) The bacon they get is probably the best I've tasted in my life and they were very happy to cater to your taste buds if you'd like to mix and match dishes. Coffee was very good too.
The rooms themselves were nice however they are on the expensive side which I suppose is expected considering there isn't much competition in close proximity.
All in all a very nice stay at the Boath House. We will plan to come again in the summer when the garden is in full swing!
