Stayed two nights. (Single) Room adequate but bathroom tiny and managed - just. main gripe was I was informed the bar stayed open until 12.30am but I was immediately over it and consequently the noise from below though muffled was still irritating.
A good place for 'real ale' enthusiasts and good value for money - apart from the above.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet night, check location of room in relation to the bar!

I'm sorry to hear this guest was affected by noise. However, we state clearly in all our written materials and every website descriptions that "Single rooms are located above the bar and are affected by noise". It also states that the single rooms are small. When guests make direct telephone booking enquiries, we explain about the noise issue and tell them what time the bar closes. This is because we do not want any guest to have a disturbed night. Where possible we provide a quiet Double Room for single occupancy. We always recommend customers not to stay with us if they are concerned about noise.

Stayed two nights with my wife and enjoyed excellent hospitality and fine food, well stocked bar and good service, even the mattress was changed when we mentioned it was not 100%, so no complaints for what we paid for two nights.

Only niggle might be the bathroom could be a little bigger in the room we had.

We stayed 2 nights in a comfortable room with sea view. The staff were friendly especially in the well run atmospheric restaurant, serving good food. There was a good choice of well kept ales served by well informed bar staff. We liked the location of the Hotel, being quietly situated near the old Fishertown and only 2 minutes from the beach. Excellent value!

Stayed one night, had several real ales - excellent, view from bedroom across to the Black Isle - superb, room comfortable but a bit tired - OK, toilet small - OK, staff - friendly and food good. Overall good value and an excellent seafront location.

Room Tip: Room with sea view

We stopped for lunch here in early September, directed here by the bookshop owner in Nairn. The best steak sandwich I have had EVER, and two generous glasses of very cold, very dry white wine were served by a friendly and efficient waiter. We had a great view of the bandstand and out to sea. I would definitely recommend this place.

We stopped here for four nights and had a really nice time. The staff were friendly and the food (and real ales) was of an exceptional quality. Our bedroom was long and narrow which meant that one of us had to sqeeze along a wall to get into bed but other than that the room was fine.
The view towards the sea was stunning and the 'prom' was close enough to enjoy an evening stroll.
