“Lovely little find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

I visited this little cafe with my husband after we visited Cawdor castle. It is literally only down the road fron the castle itself. We had a lovely panini and a fantastic slice of parsnip cake...they have some interesting and tasty cake choices. The staff are friendly and the atmos is laid back. Will definitely return.

“QUAINT AND ENJOYABLE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

Was introduced to this quaint establishment by my wife who had heard about it through a friend and made first visit with her sister.
On my first visit was greeted by friendy staff in this small but tasteful tea-room. A reasonable choice of snack meals was on the menu and a specials board showing the soups (x2) and sweet of the day. Nice selection of locally produced cakes, scones and short bread.
Oh the joy of table service provided by a customer friendly waitress. Opted for the chicken salad sandwich and a large coffee. Very tasty, well filled quality brown malted bread, sufficient side salad and good Italian 'real' coffee, soo good in fact I had a second cup. A pleasant experience which I intend to repeat.
The tea-room is situated in the village of Cawdor and quite close to the Cawdor Castle. I suggest a small diversion to this establishment before or after a visit to the castle, or even just passing through the village, is well worth it.

“Yes, there are still real tearooms!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Limited knowledge, having only been twice and on both occasions had the same thing. Reason, they offer an afternoon tea at a fiver each and it is delicious, so why pick anything else? You get a hot drink of choice and a two tier cake plate with sandwiches of choice along with scones (that come with oodles of cream and jam). Everything was so fresh and the ambience of the café (in the country, on the edge of Cawdor, down a drive) lends itself to a cream tea. I will definitely be going again (when I have burnt off the calories!) and, much as I like to think I would be trying something else on the menu, I bet I end up with the cream tea!

“Cozy Vintage Tearoom”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

I recently visited Darcey's Tearoom with family and friends and what a delightful, friendly place to spend the morning or afternoon enjoying their homemade soups and ciabatta. Simply delicious! I would highly recommend anyone in the neighbourhood to visit this hidden gem.
