“Small venue but excellent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

Very busy when visited.. Modern minimal surroundings so a lack of soft furnishing to help deaden chat/noise. The coffee machine is also very very loud when used but does make excellent coffee. Food very freshly prepared and delicious. Will certainly return

“Fantastic crab sandwiches.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Three of us went here for a quick lunch and all of us had crab sandwiches. When we entered the cafe we were greeted by a smile which was good as they were quite busy. We were were allowed to sit at a reserved table. There are also a couple of tables outside which overlook the Nairn harbour. The sandwiches were well filled and really delicious and filling.

“Beautiful little cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012 via mobile

We ate here this evening & it was fantastic, 3 of us ate fish & chips & 1 had scampi. The chips were amazing & perfect amount, there's nothing worse than a plate piled high with chips & wasting food. Fish was amazing & scampi was equally as good, it's just a pity we aren't on holiday longer or would definately eat here again, lovely food, lovely staff & great value, highly recommend this place.

“By the harbour in Nairn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Driving from Tongue to Aberdeen, we chanced on Basil Harbour Café via TripAdvisor’s iPhone app – thank you!

A great find… this is a bustling little place right on the harbor with a warm welcome and outside seating in summer.

As veggies we chose the ciabatta stuffed with roasted haloumi and peppers, plus Sicilian lemonade. Delicious!

Basil Harbour’s home-made cakes looked pretty good, too – though we managed to resist the temptation.

This is a small café, very professional with a good menu of home-made food, a great atmosphere and friendly staff.
