Although not expecting any link to Macbeth (although several American visitors obviously were) I enjoyed the walk around the castle and grounds. But I was left with little understanding of the Castle's history and development, which I would have liked to know more about. Also the interpretation in the rooms was sometimes rather tongue in cheek, which meant it wasn't always as clear as it could be and could easily be misunderstood by overseas visitors. The cafe was a bit disappointing as there was such a long wait to order (despite being second in the line nearly 10 minutes) and then receive the order of two hot chocolates. There seemed to be about 3/4 staff on but not at the counter or till when you needed them!
