Really enjoyed visiting Loch Ness, and the beautiful weather was surely a factor. The water glistened, and looked so blue. We looked for the "monster" of course, as my son has heard about it from a few of his story books.
The area was busy with lots of coaches, but still easy to find a quiet spot to park the camper van for a cuppa. There are lots of lay-bys with great views.
The East side is worth a drive down, although the road is only single track in places as the views across the Loch from that road are fantastic, especially of Urquhart Castle.
