My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Kimcraigan b&b in September. We had mixed feelings about it. While this b&b has a fabulous location right on Loch Ness, it's hard to enjoy it. The pictures on the website show a nice deck overlooking the water, but it's a chore to get to as a guest. You have to walk out the front door, go around the house, across the lawn and then get to the deck - there is no access from the house itself. In addition, there is no guest lounge, so when you're at the house, you are stuck in your room. And, we had a room with no view - for the first 2 nights. Kim kindly offered to move us to the room upstairs with the view for the 3rd night, so we took it but I would have thought that staying 3 nights, instead of 1 night as other guests did while we were there, we would have had the room with the view from the start. The view from that upstairs room is beautiful. And, the bathroom upstairs is large and really nice. The whole house is immaculate and the beds are comfortable, especially in the upstairs room. Breakfasts are ok, nothing special. Kim is pleasant and chatted in the morning but is not intrusive. She offered up some good ideas about where to visit and sights to see. Overall, it was ok, but I had hoped for more from this b&b, situated as it is on the shores of Loch Ness.
