4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

While the outside didnt look too perpossesing the welcome and attention certainly made up for it. The train from Invernessarrived at 20.26 and all eating places shut down at 2030. Michael dashed across to Hectors Bothy and persauded the staff to remain open for us to eat an excellent meal. The breakfast was superb and the room well kept and comfortable. Even the dog Diesel by name was welcoming. Very good at the price. Yes I would recommend it

Michael, who runs the b&b along with his son, Josh and friends Jeanie and Ewan is so welcoming and makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. Michael offered to drive us down to Eilean Donan which is typical of his kindness. The full Scottish breakfast set us up for the day and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Can't wait to visit again!

If you want all mod cons, then this probably isn't the place for you. However Michael is a great character showing great care for his guests and true hospitality, and definitely willing to go the second mile (My wife thought she had left her mobile in a public loo in nearby Plockton. Michael drove us back there 10.30pm that evening ,and took the trouble to find the person who had the keys as it was locked. Sadly the mobile wasn't there, and we have to confess that we found it in the car after we had left). Michael will you allow us to come back?!!

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and really enjoyed ourselves. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner Mike and his son Josh. Lovely people and the B&B was very comfortable and homely. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us each morning and there was plenty coffee/tea/orange juice. Room was very clean and spacious with great views over the harbour and across to Skye, lack of en suite facilities was never a problem and the bathroom was also very clean. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay and would go back, price was very reasonable as well.

My second visit to this typical Scottish B & B providing good Scottish breakfast. Bedrooms and toilets/shower very clean. Michael very accommodating. Great location for train, boat and road travel to other beautiful Scottish countryside. Will be back.

I stayed here back in the 2002 on a three day trip I took to Western Scotland. The B&B is located off of Main Street, right in front of the train station. It's an easy walk. I recommend taking the train to get here....go north to Inverness, then head West. You'll see some gorgeous countryside. Back to the B&B...the people who run this place are some of the nicest people on the face of the Earth. They knew I was travelling alone and made me feel so welcome and helped me plan out my trip to Isle of Skye and to Fort William. Nothing beats waking up to the smell of French-pressed coffee, eating a hearty breakfast, and watching the sun rise over the harbor and ocean.

Room Tip: There is a little pub behnd the B&B that is great to grab a drink. The place is crawling with d...

We came pretty late and unannounced, and Mike still welcomed us as if we were a family :D Even though he did not mean to take any guests at that particular time, the whole place and the rooms were cosy, clean, and ready, and despite the late hour, Mike gave a word for us at the local restaurant as well, so that we didn't stay hungry until the morning. I think we could not have found nicer place :)
