Three of us stayed with Peter and Lesley at the Distant Hills Guest House in April, 2008. Our accommodations were booked through Macs Adventures as part of a mountain bike holiday that started in Ft. Williams and ended in Montrose. Spean Bridge was our first stop and it set the stage for the rest of our trip. Upon arriving, Lesley prepared coffee for us and we settled on the back porch to enjoy. After a day on the bike, it was great to have that kind of welcome. During our stay, we found the rooms to be very clean and spacious. The sitting area was also quite comfortable and there was a nice flat screen for us to enjoy (along with a nice collection of DVD's). We also had an excellent breakfast to send us on our way the next morning. I'd recommend the Distant Hills Guest House to anyone looking for warm, accommodating lodging in the Speans Bridge area. Peter and Lesley are wonderful hosts.

Belated review added, we spent a grand total of 3 nights in March of 2007 in this B&B and the hosts went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate us from the late arrival on the Thursday night to the encouragement given to the runners in the 2007 Commando March. See you again in 2008.

Our trip to Scotland was a huge success. One of most enjoyable periods was our stay a your lovely B&B. Your hospitality was most gracious. The room was delightful. I particularly liked the lovely breakfasts. We have commented so many times about the great food and lovely presentation. It made our stay that much more enjoyable. I would really encourage other travelers to avail themselves of your wonderful hospitality.

Having visited Distant Hills in the past my friends and I decided to revisit the area we like so much. We were not disappointed, the new owners Peter and Lesley made our stay as good as we could have wished. The accomodation is first class, the food excellent and their hospitallity second to none. But for the weather, well it was June 2007 in Scotland we could not have enjoyed ourselves any more, we look forward to a return visit.
Its good to know Distant Hills is in safe hands.

Peter and walking friends.
