“Excellent rooms comfy night sleep, value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

We slept 1 adult 2 children,, had excellent corner room, was huge, overlooked the loch, nice receptionist, exceptionally clean and new look to travelodge, with curtains bedding, and bathrooms being modernised. Really comfy stay, well done travelodge.

The room was very clean and warm. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and had our keys waiting. Above all, great value for money at £45 per room and I would have no hesitation booking these rooms again

Don't expect luxury as this is Travelodge. But... Our room was huge, much bigger than any standard hotel room or B&B. Bed was comfortable, there was flat screen tv with wide range of channels, tea and coffee making facility, desk and chair... what else do you need? And we only paid £50 per room during Easter, when prices everywhere else where much more expensive!
Bathroom is on a small side, very small shower and no place for two people. But it was clean and towels were included. Don't forget to take your shampoo/conditioner etc from home as here you will only get shower gel which wasn't great.

The location is amazing!!!!! Just where you want to be staying in Fort William. There's not much going on in this sleepy town and not many places to eat. But you will find something for yourself, not to worry.
The hotel is located just above Wetherspoon Pub, which offers breakfasts from 7am and food until 11pm.

The only downside of this place is that they charge you for wi-fi. I don't think they should. First 30 minutes is free every day, but then you need to pay. You would expect free wi-fi everywhere these days... Well, maybe there's something for Travelodges to think of.

The other thing is, the cleaning staff could try to do slightly better job. We stayed here 4 nights and our bathroom wasn't really cleaned perfectly during that time. Plus teas and coffees were only replenished once, even though we were running low after the first day.

If we are back in Fort William, we will stay here again for sure. You can't beat this price and the standard of the rooms is very good!

I stayed here twice in the last two weeks touring Scotland. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the price fantastic. It is above a Weatherspoons but we heard no noise. This is an ideal place to have a cheap evening meal. We had two steaks two drinks all for £15.00 total. Lots to do in the area and the staff were helpful.

The travelogue in Fort William is well located, the car park is public at the back of the hotel and this could be busy and difficult if you arrive at the wrong time of day, it is also gravel and bumpy so if you have to wheel your cases, beware of your wheels.
This is much what you expect from a budget hotel, it was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We did have to ask for extra milk cartons which were given at no expense or quibble.
Immediately below the hotel was a Wetherspoons outlet which is large and a cheap place to eat and drink, beer at £1.29 a pint and specials on every night if you wish to eat.
Not much else to say about the hotel, it did what it said and was inexpensive. Would I recommend this as a good place to stay, yes, definitely, well done travelodge.

Room Tip: Despite the pub immediately below, we heard no noise from outside.

Booked this hotel through an evoucher id received as compensation for my last (horrendous) Travelodge stay for my boyfriend and my dog as he was climbing Ben Nevis the next day. Hotel is shabby and rooms tired. There were pubic hairs in the shower which is disgusting in itself. However, the reason I'm giving it a 1* is due to the lack of attention to detail.
My boyfriend found a diamond shaped green pill next to the bed on the carpet. When he went down to complain there was no one to be seen at the desk and no attention button available to ring.
He put the pill in a sandwich bag and brought it home as evidence as this is not acceptable. On researching it's colour and shape online it appears it is a dodgy Viagra pill (yuk!). Imagine my dog, or worse, somebody's child had found the pill and swallowed it? Thumbs down Travelodge, next time check your rooms properly and that includes around the bed area.
There was no member of staff available on checkout either. Absolute waste of a £101 voucher.

Avoid room 226 it's smells bad in the room

Parking is not great as it's behind the hotel and not very safe.
