We traveled to the highland hotel with loches and glens,we had the most wonderful time.after a 13hour journey through some wonderful scenery of the snow covered mountains,we arrived at the hotel to be shown to our room 204 it had a loch and mountain view.the room as usually with lochs and glens holidays was spotless, the bathroom had a fantastic shower and deep bath.the bed was so comfortable, most important to me was the bed had mattress and pillow protecters on.at meal times you had several choices including wonderful salads, all hot meals served on hot plates very well cooked, staff couldn't do enough for you, very polite always smiling.excursions every day,ken our driver was very informative and made us hot drinks,he had to travel through some awful weather but he was brilliant and the coach was always clean and warm.well done again lochs and glens, you really know how to treat your clients,we can't fault you at all,5 star service.

4 nights at the Highland Hotel as part of a Lochs and Glens holiday far surpassed any prior expectations.
After a long coach journey from the Southampton area we received a warm welcome, followed by a very pleasant suprise on seeing our room. The entire place was exceptionally clean and well furnished. The staff set and acheive very high standards for their guests. It is a long time since I can remember such politeness, courtesy and helpfulness. A good and varied choice of food at all mealtimes.
Our coach driver Gary performed miracles considering the cold and snowy weather, contributing greatly to the overall enjoyment experienced by or group. The musical entertainment each evening was also very good.
Already looking forward to re-booking with the Lochs and Glens orgaisation.

Room Tip: Don't bother - our group of 7 all had good rooms

My partner and I have also returned from the Highland Hotel Fort William where we spent a wonderful Christmas,Lovely room with Loch view, excellent food and service, good entertainment, beautifully decorated, scenic trips out and comfortable journey there and back from Derby.I sypmpathize with the lady who had a bad journey but must point out the coaches are not always Lochs and Glens own coaches they use other coaches such as Proctors of Yorkshire and although it says Lochs and Glens on the front on close inspection you can find the other company somewhere on the side or back of the coach, not all coaches used are of identical specifications. On the whole a brilliant break we would recommend to anyone would go definately go again.

Room Tip: Loch side room higher the better.

My partner and I have just returned from Christmas at the Highland Hotel, Fort William, via Lochs & Glens Holidays, having been recommended by several friends of the quality of the breaks.
The Hotel and staff were excellent, from Paula and Stefan down to the serving staff - always smiling and helpful.
The room was lovely and cosy, the hotel warm and inviting with log fires, and all beautifully decorated for Christmas.
The food and service very efficient, since they had three coach loads of visitors over the Christmas break.
The big let down was the coach journey! Uncomfortable did not come into it. I have travelled to Italy via coach which was very comfortable. I have never felt so unhappy on this one - hard seats, overly tight seat belts and lack of leg room made it a journey from hell, which took thirteen and a half hours from our starting point at Thurrock Services. My partner really suffered and we were thinking of travelling home via train as he could not face the journey home. luckily it was not quite so bad going home, but Lochs and Glens only employ one driver per coach, and consequently a lot of the stopovers were quite long, in order that he should have his allotted rest.
This is understandable, but I really feel that Lochs & Glens should employ two drivers for a journey this long - 700 miles I was told. This would enable shorter stops and make life much easier. Plus they should use much better quality coaches, which I know are available since I have had many coach breaks over the last ten years.
Various other reviewers have commented on the quality of their coaches, so I am not alone in my complaint.
However the hotel and entertainment could not be faulted, so don't be put off but be aware if you are travelling from the South of England

Room Tip: Ask for a loch view room at the front. Really worth it

Long journey from Yorkshire to The Highlands of Scotland but it was well worth the trip. The Highland Hotel was just beautiful, we couldn't find a fault. The food was excellent and the trips out with Lochs and Glens were superb. Even the weather was good. Big thank you to ALL the wonderful staff there. Well done. xx
