“Very nice stay - friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

We stayed one night on a tour of Scotland. Extremely nice, recently refurbished very tastefully. Dinner was excellent and reasonable. We travel quite a bit and loved our stay here. Service was great and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights on our tour of Scotland. The room we had was quite small but warm and comfortable and had everything you would expect to find in a hotel room.
The whole place has recently had a face lift, and as a consequence, is very modern, bright and clean.
We ate both nights in the restaurant and were impressed with the quality of the food. The breakfasts were very good too, and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them.
The only downside to our stay, was the fact that our room looked out over the council houses behind the hotel. Unfortunately the window was of a design that when you opened it, it swung open wide, and this was rather annoying if, like us, you wanted some fresh air at night, but did not want all the warmth in the room, to go out the window and did not want to hear a residents dog barking.
If we were to stay here again, I would ask for a room to the front of the hotel, although having said this, it is quite a busy road to the front.
Overall, I would not let these minor points put me off staying here again.

Although the room was very small, it was nicely appointed. They may have even tried to fit a wee bit too much into the little space. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows, sheets, towels were all great. The best part of this Inn?....Brown's Restaurant! Absolutely wonderful dinner & breakfast also. Very good staff as well.

Would definitely recommend this Hotel.
Staff all very friendly and helpful too with the kids menu for a fussy child! Great food and breakfasts.
The family room we stayed in and it's bathroom were both lovely and clean. No complaints at all!!
Will be back.

Stayed recently on a visit to Fort William. Hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly. We ate in the restaurant where the food was delicious. Very clean and comfortable and an easy walk into Fort William makes this an ideal hotel. Would recommend the Nevis Bank and will definitely stay there again.

wow what a fab reception , the staff are superb , friendly and nothing is a problem, one of the best places we stayed while walking 15 days across Scotland. The food is also excellent and the rooms very good. All ready planning a return trip. It puts the rest of fort William to shame.

Room Tip: don't go any where else

We looked everywhere online for the best hotel in the highlands and the NBI had by far the best reviews. We found a 'good deal' for the suite at £155 per night. Our immediate impression of the room was pretty poor... It was very badly decorated and with absolutely no personality! The sitting room was bear as could be and quite uncomfortable.
Saying that, the place was clean and the staff really lovely and friendly.

Breakfast nothing to rave about but could have been worse. (My poached egg was a messy and hard disaster).

I suppose, all in all, this place was Ok and would have been happy here at a different price tag- definitely not £155 per night!
